Price Of Gold
Sir.—“Goldminer” charges me with writing epistles on the price of gold. He quotes Browning, though for or against is not clear. He then proceeds to expound some home-made and unsupported theories on price and value. The fact is that gold is no longer legal tender. It is bought and sold in the market, which fixes both price and value to the satisfaction of economics and the dictionary.—Yours, etc., T. M. SHAW. Westport, October 11. 1966.
