FASHION PARADE

The Christchurch branch committee of the RyderCheshire Foundation will write to the Wool Board suggesting that it hold a fashion parade with its fashion designers’ and models’ competition next year. The chairman (Mr S. J. Parker) said that winter fashions would come in in February or March when the foundation’s fund-raising campaign would be held. The proceeds from the board’s parade in Wellington had gone to charity, said Mr Parker. The committee decided to buy a copy of the film of the Foundation’s Raphael Home in India for showing in Canterbury. The secretary, Mr I. McW. Harkness, said that the committee needed members. Other projects were supplementary.
