Police Sections Move

The officer-in-charge of the Christchurch police district (Chief Superintendent G. W. Alty), the district office’ (accounts), the prosecutions branch, juvenile crime prevention branch, and crime prevention officer will move from the central police station to the Lyttelton Harbour building (Madras street) at the week-end.

These police sections will be housed on the first floor of the harbour board building from Monday. The usual police inquiries telephone number (71-889) will get the caller in touch with the police in their new offices.
