Boys’ Brigade Passes
Successful candidates in the senior proficiency examinations of the Canterbury battalion of the Boys’ Brigade held last Wednesday evening were released by the battalion training convener (Mr D. Giblin) yesterday. Confirmation of the passes will be posted. P. Fenwick, of the Ist Kaiapoi company, was first with 111 marks out of a possible 120. A. Teague (23rd Christchurch) was second, with 104, and R. Giles (Ist Kaiapoi) was third, with 102. Fifty-six sat the examination, which is an essential requirement for highest award in the Boys’ Brigade, the Queen’s Badge. Thirty-five passed. Results.—lst Christchurch (Beckenham): G. Pollock, D.
