WOMAN STABBED
Arrest Made (N.Z. Press Association' AUCKLAND. September 11. A Pokeno farmer opened his door this morning to find a woman standing outside covered with blood and asking for help. The police said a man would appear today in the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court charged with attempted murder. The woman. Mrs. Sadie Falwasser, aged 36. of Manurewa. was later admitted to the Middlemore Hospital suffering stab wounds to the neck and hands. Her condition tonight was fairly satisfactory. Mr. T. A. Wallace, of Pinnacle Hill road, Pokeno. said: “There was a knock on the door at 6.30 a.m. “I went to the door and found a woman standing there. She was covered in blood, and asked for help." Mr. Wallace said he called the police and then a doctor. Detective Senior • Sergeant B. W. James, of Otahuhu, said a man called on another Pokeno farmer this morning and asked him to call the police. He was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of the woman.
