Blue Defaulter Best At Woodville
PALMERSTON NORTH. Blue Defaulter ran a splendid trial for a jumper at Woodville yesterday when he covered six furlongs on the No. 1 grass in Imin ISsec alongside his stablemate, Lord Aurora. A last-start winner over jumps, Blue Defaulter will be a hard horse to beat in the Gonville Hurdles on the second day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting.
Working on the No. 1 grass which was fast, Blue Defaulter appeared to work with a good deal in reserve. He covered his last three furlongs comfortably in 38sec, time which suggested he has made further improvement since his Foxton outing.

Guineas, advanced her preparation for the classic event by running a steady six furlongs alongside her stablemate, Joke.
She clocked Imin 17 3-ssec for the full distance and could have- made a substantial reduction to her final three in 38sec had her rider so desired.
Janeville has made rapid improvement since Foxton and will not be out of the race on Saturday when W. D. Skelton has the mount. Later she will contest the Gold Trail and Desert Gold Stakes at Hastings and Trentham respectively and could be more than a match for those of her own sex and age in each race.
