Drawn To Ruakura

f.V Z. Press Association>

HAMILTON, Aug. 30.

The Ruakura Agricultural Research Centre has attracted two senior scientists from the United States and Canada for research work on facial eczema.

Both are biochemists. They are Dr. E. L. Hove, of the Food and Drug Administration. Washington. D.C., who will arrive on September 18, and Dr. P. Hill, of Montreal, who will arrive in January. Dr. D. G. Edgar, assistant director at the re-

search centre, said New Zealand was fortunate to have attracted such a senior scientist as Dr. Hove.

The United States Government had offered to give him leave on full pay and all his expenses to come to New Zealand for one year, but he had preferred to accept a facial eczema fellowship for two years from the New Zealand Department of Agriculture. Dr. Hill will also accept a fellowship for at least two years at Ruakura.
