LONDON TALKS
Kaunda Not Attending
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LUSAKA, August 30. President Kenneth Kaunda, of Zambia, said today he would not attend the Commonwealth leaders’ conference in London next week. Dr. Kaunda said he had decided not to attend because he was disgusted with the British Government’s handling of the Rhodesian independence crisis. He said the Zambian delegation to the conference, which opens next Tuesday, would be headed by the Foreign Minister, Mr Simon Kapwepwe, now on a goodwill visit to Denmark.
