Drug Addicts Helped
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter) HONG KONG. The staff of Hong Kong’s open-air prison for drug addicts now work in civilian clothes and the prisoners have been given uniforms different from the normal prison issue to boost their morale, the Commissioner of Prisons, Mr C. J. Norman, reported. “With the drug addict, it is essential to build up his self-respect and to make him feel he is a valued member of the community,” he explained.
