VIETNAM PROTEST
200 Arrests In Amsterdam
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) AMSTERDAM, August 22. Some 200 people were arrested in Amsterdam last night during a demonstration against American policy in Vietnam for which the organisers had refused to ask permission. The organisers have so far held four silent marches. They have refused to apply to the municipal authorities for permission, which they consider unwarranted interference with the fight of free expression. Last Monday the Amsterdam Justice of the Peace fined 70 participants in a previous silent march.
