MAGAZINE PLANNED

Student Assn. Publication (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. The New Zealand University Students’ Association is to produce a magazine of informed commentary on current national and international events. The acting president of the association (Mr G. Pateman) said that the association’s recent council meeting had agreed to modify its present publication, “Student News,” into the proposed magazine format. By containing articles of current issues and developments in New Zealand and overseas, the magazine would fill a gap in the New Zealand periodical field, said Mr Pateman. “The magazine will provide a service for both the public and for students,” he said. It is hoped that the first issue will be produced early in the next university year.
