Plastic Chimney

Aramoho residents will have a landmark with a difference soon, when a 120 ft chimney is erected at the Kempthorne Prosser, and Company fertiliser works. The chimney will be made of plastic, instead of the usual metal. It will be one of the first of its kind in New Zealand. The new stack will replace the two existing chimneys. It will be part of a new sulphuric acid plant which the company is building.
