Elderly Man Assaulted
When he was assaulted by two men in Madras street about 11 p.m. on Friday, Frederick William Rose, aged 61, of 500 Madras street, suffered head and leg injuries. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital. Mr Rose was riding his cycle along Madras street near his home when two men ran out and attacked him. They demanded money, struck him about the face, rifled his pockets and stole about 10s.
