BRAWL IN TEXAS

Three Shot Dead (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copt/rfghO MANEFIELD, (Texas), August 18. Three men were shot to death in a restaurant brawl last night, United Press International reported. A fourth man was wounded in the brawl, involving several other people. The victims were Earl Wilson, aged 48, owner of Wilson’s barbecue, where the shootings occurred: John Paul Cartwright, aged 24, and his brother, Jell, aged 20. Police said the shooting erupted when one of the Cartwrights got into a scuffle with another man. Wilson, in an effort to break up the fight, pulled a gun and fired into the air. Two other people pulled guns and began firing at the victims. The wounded man, Arizona Cook, was in fair condition in hospital.
