FOOD PRICE STEADY

Little Change Since May Food prices have been steady for the last three months and have shown little change since May, according to the Department of Statistics. In July the all food index was 1017 against 1019 in June and 1017 in May, the latest consumers’ price index shows. Fruit and vegetables were slightly cheaper in July, while pork, ham and bacon were a little dearer. There were also other small moves, both up and down, in the index.
