Storage For New Coins

(Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Aug. 10. The strong-rooms of the new Reserve Bank building in Christchurch will be used to store the entire decimal currency issue for the South Island before the currency change next July, says the annual report of the Reserve Bank, tabled in Parliament today. “Construction of the bank’s new building in Christchurch has progressed steadily, and lit should be completed early jin 1967,” the report says.
