Parliament’s Diary
The Juries Amendment Bill was introduced and read a first time when Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon. Papers tabled included the annual reports of the Reserve Bank, the National Art Gallery and Museum, the Queen Elizabeth 11 Arts Council the Clutha Licensing Trust and the Ashburton Licensing Trust. The Customs Bill and the Republic of Malawi Bill each received a second reading. The house then put the following measures through their committee stages: the Republic of Tanzania Bill, the Republic of Singapore Bill, the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Bill, the Surveyors Bill, the Trades Certification Bill, the Universities Amendment Bill, and seven individual university bills.
