Taupo Totara Starts Well

Sales of Taupo Totara Timber Company, Putaruru sawmiller, timber and hardware merchant and land developer, are currently well above those for the corresponding months of last year, the chairman, Dr. O. F. Haylock, told the annual meeting. After making an allowance for the entry of Speight, Pearce, Nicol] and Daveys, Ltd., into the company in August of last year, sales were an estimated 10 per cent above those for the same period last year. This did not take into account any revenue or profit from Pacific Forests., he said.
