The controversial 8.8. C. television documentary “The War Game” has won the special award—equivalent to second prize—in the Venice film documentary festival. The British Film Institute, announcing this today, said the film had been entered for the festival by the institute and the 8.8. C.. “The War Game’ was originally made for 8.8. C. television about the effects of a nuclear attack on Britain, but was subsequently banned from being shown on television.
