STRIKE IN TAHITI
(N Z P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) PAPEETE (Tahiti), July 31. Seamen and civil servants in Tahiti, the rear base for the current series of French nuclear tests, went on strike yesterday in protest against the rise in the cost of living in French Polynesia. Dockers are threatening to join the strike.
