Santos Points Winner
(N.Z Presg Association) WELLINGTON The New Zealand professional light-weight boxing champion, M. Santos, scored another clear-cut win at Wellington last evening. Santos outpointed the Filipino, J. Del Valle, over 12 rounds. But Del Valle, with a bid disadvantage in height and reach, provided stiffer opposition than expected. Santos built up a big points lead against his southpaw opponent in the early rounds, and held off the Filipino’s challenge in the later rounds.
