COACH CRASH

31 Persons Killed (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LIMBURG (Germany), July 25. A coach carrying Belgian tourists home from holiday crashed off the Frankfurt-Cologne autobahn today, killing at least 28 children and three adults, the police reported.

The injured children were pulled out of the wreckage and rushed to hospitals in Limburg and nearby villages. Limburg town officials said that between 40 and 50 children were in the bus, which skidded off the autobahn and crashed over an embankment on to a secondary road. The crash is believed to be the worst coach disaster in Western Europe since August, 1961, when all 35 American passengers were killed when their coach plunged into Lake Lucerne, Switzerland.
