NOISE FROM CLUB

Council Plans Tests The Shamrock Foothall Club will be asked bv the Waimairi County Council to carry out tests under the council’s control in an effort to ‘lsolate the source” of a complaint of noise from the, Riccarton domain gj-mnasium. A neighbour of the gymnasium, Mr J. M. Wilson, had complained that since his last protest in May. 1965. the noise caused by the club's training activities had increas ed rather than abated. He had tried to soundproof his home against the disturbance, but had been unsuccess ; ful. He asked that the council' place some limitation on evening indoor aetvities until the soundproofing promised by the club had been completed.
