MISTER CHIPS
N.Z. Cup Big Mission “The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. Mister Chips, which remained in Auckland after racing at Alexandra Park in May, will not return to the South Island until November—and then only for the New Zealand Trotting Cup meeting at Addington. Formerly trained at Christchurch by J. S. Dalgety, Mister Chips has been under the care of W. K. Gee at Mangere since the last A.T.C. meeting. He resumed work about two weeks ago. It is planned to race Mister Chips at the Auckland meeting on September 17 and 24. After that, his big mission will be the New Zealand Trotting Cup. A rising five-year-old gelding by Globe Direct from Moira Hall, he has since made spectacular progress through the classes in the last year. He began the season in the 2-18 class and is now on 2-11. In 18 starts, he had seven wins and five minor placings.
