CANDIDATES CAMP

Salvation Army More than 35 candidates for Salvation Army officership are expected to attend the annual week-end camp at the new Glentui conference centre from July 22 to 24. Speakers at the conference will be the assistant editor of the New Zealand “War Cry,” Major A. Williamson, and the well-known Salvation Army historian, Mr C. Bradwell. Members of the corps throughout Ihe CanterburyWestland area, the candidates are all preparing themselves through correspondence courses for entry into the Salvation Army Training School in Wellington. They take a six-year correspondence course before starting the two-year Internal training.
