Warehousemen’s New Award
(N.Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, July 1. Increases in the minimum wage rates ranging from 6s 6d to 17s weekly are provided for in an award for general warehousemen (other than softgoods) released today by the Arbitration Court. The new rate for females over 21 is £l5 5s (30.50 dollars) and after 10 years’ service the rate is £l5 15s (31.50 dollars). Rates for junior males range from £6 10s (13 dollars) for those under 17 to £ll 7s 7d (22.75 dollars) for 20-year-olds. Rates for junior females' range from £5 15s (11.50 dol-j lars) to £lO 7s 6d (20.75 dol-i lars). I
