Contribution Unlikely

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 20. The extension of the term of the peace-keeping force in Cyprus for another six months would not mean New Zealand would have to make another financial contribution to the upkeep of the force, an External Affairs Department officer said today. The peace-keeping force had always been financed on a voluntary basis, he said. New Zealand made a financial contribution to the force in March, 1964, when it was first set up, and had not since been required to contribute.
