Two Fail, One Allo wetl

Two appeals against sentences on criminal conviction were dismissed by Mr Justice Wilson in the Supreme Court yesterday, and one appeal on a traffic matter allowed.

Blunt) against I two years’ imprisonment for | burglary was also dismissed, on the ground that he had ! failed to respond to previous I supervision and probation, during which time he had j committed a series of : burglaries and thefts. I An appeal by John Howard Otten, a junior linesman (Mr ! R. S. D. Twyneham) against [ cancellation of his driver's ! licence for driving an un- : registered motor-vehicle, was ■ upheld on the ground that the cancellation had been I without jurisdiction.
