FIORDLAND TRAVEL
Share Issue Extended GV Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, May 27. Money restrictions, New Zealand’s present financial situation and side effects of import restrictions were today blamed for the failure of the newly-formed Fiordland Travel Holding share issue to reach the minimum subscription of £lOO,OOO. The issue has been extended another month—until June 30—in an attempt to raise the £lOO.OOO required for the company to make a start on its tourist development programme in Te Anau, it was announced today. "We’re quite confident the share issue will be filled,” a provisional director, Mr Wilson C. Campbell said from Te Anau today. He said the company had already received advance bookings worth about £lO,OOO. The envisaged motels had not even been built.
