DIVIDENDS
Alex Harvey.— Alex Harvey and Sons. Auckland canister maker and sheet metal worker, propose a final dividend of 6 per cent on ordinary shares, making 11 per cent for the year, compared with 10.7 per cent last year, on increased capital Dividend is 3 per cent on pref erence shares. Dividends are payable on July 15: ex dividend July 6. Tax-paid profit is £587.000 before audit.—<P A.)
Cyclone Industries.— Cyclone Industries IN.Z.), Christchurch, recommends 5 per cent final dividend on ordinary shares, making a steady 9 per cent for the year; payable July 22. ex dividend July 15.
Gear Dividend.— Gear Meat Company, Wellington freezing works and meat exporter, will pay a steady Interim dividend of 3 1-3 per cent on June 10; ex dividend June 3. Total dividend last year was 6 2-3 per cent.—lP.A.)
Wellington Building.—Wellington Permanent Building Society reports continued steady progress and will pay a dividend of 4 per cent on June 3. Last year Interim 4 per cent was followed by a final 4 per cent and a bonus 1 per cent.—lP.A.)
