Collapsed In Car

Found slumped over the steering wheel of his car outside the Christchurch Drainage Board’s office in Cambridge terrace at 2.15 p.m. yesterday, Eben John Finlayson Parkes, aged 61, a clerk, of 32 Sugden street, Spreydon, was dead when an ambulance arrived with him at the Christchurch Hospital. Mr Parkes was married, with no children.

An inquest will be opened this morning.
