Harper River Area Tramp
Nine members of the Christchurch Tramping Club spent last week-end in the headwaters of the Cass river. They travelled to Cass on the rail-car on Friday evening, spent the night in shearers’ quarters, and on Saturday walked up the Cass river, over the Cass saddle and into the Harper river valley. Yesterday they went up a branch -nf the Harper river, over Lagoon saddle and into the Bruce stream. The railcar to Christchurch was caught at the Bealey. bridge.
