DISPOSAL OF ROYALIST

Stores Being Removed (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 29. Removal of stores from the Royalist had started in preparation for her disposal by the British Government later this year, the Minister of Defence (Mr Eyre) said today. He said the vessel belonged to the Royal Navy and the manner of her disposal was not a matter for New Zealand. In similar circumstances, however, the New Zealand Government had acted on behalf of Britain, in the disposal of the Black Prince, in calling tenders and arranging for the successful tenderer to tow her to the Far East for shipbreaking.
