Mail Service

Sir,—l suggest to the “Peeved Pair” that they do as I did. Go on an organised tour of the Post Office and see the cramped, antiquated conditions, talk to some sections of the staff, hear of the broken shifts, and the few extra shillings for getting up at ungodly hours six and seven days a week. I doubt if they have a union. See inadequately wrapped parcels, poorly addressed letters, and ones where we helpful public put stamps on the wrong corner so that they have to be cancelled by hand. I wonder if the “Peeved Pair” "never fail to zone their mail.” 1 feel the Post Office is doing a good job under the conditions and when we get a new post office perhaps “Peeved” and also Peeved will get their mail earlier.—Yours, etc. SYMPATHETIC.
