LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O box number is not a sufficient address <2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers (3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing; nor can he acknowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where it seems to be needful. or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be ot more than 150 words.

G. A. Lane and E.M.—Sub judice. Concerned.—Far exceeds our word limit. See rules above Grower.—Earlier letter referred to Florists' Association for comment. Ex-Fighter.—Discussion of boxing decisions can hardly be useful here. Amateur Rhubarb.—Rather a lot of doggerel to devote to a question that can be answered by the telephone directory. Beeoub.—Much would depend on the length of the slope, which is not apparent in the picture. However, we shall let. the advertiser know your views. B. W. Reid.—Only when the meeting is on the streets or other public place; and the practice is standard in New Zealand and most other countries. Anzac.—The censor’s classifications are given more fully in a panel on our amusements advertisements page. The “A" certificate is a recommendation, not a direction.
