FULL-LOAD LANDING

New Facts On One-Eleven (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 21. A team from the British Aircraft Corporation placed new facts on the One-Eleven short-haul jet aircraft before the board of directors of National Airways Corporation today. The One-Eleven is being considered by the Government with the Boeing 737 as replacement aircraft for N.A.C.’s Viscounts. The sales and service director of 8.A.C., Mr D. J. Lambert. said today his team would see the Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine) and possibly other members of the Government. He said recent figures had shown the One-Eleven could land in about 500 feet less runway than was previously thought. This would allow it to use Palmerston North airport with a full load of passengers and Hamilton airport with 50 passengers.
