ANZAC DAY SKATING
Ice Rink To Be Open “There was no sense in going around with a long face all day Anzac Day,” Cr. J. S. Scott told the Heathcote County Council last night. He was commenting on an ice rink company’s application to open its premises on Anzac Day afternoon. The, company said young patrons had asked that the rink be opened because “there was nothing to do on Anzac Day.” “The trend seems to be to observe the memorial functions in the morning and have recreation in the afternoon,” Cr. Scott said. The council approved the application.
