Modem Cavemen Worry Council
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) LONDON, April 21. A plan to seal off by blasting eaves used by "trogs” in tbe Derbyshire hills will be considered by the Matlock Town Council, “The Times” reported today. “Trogs" are people—mostly young men—who have left their homes and live and hide in deep caves. A search by a local church organisation found hundreds of them living in caves with 9-
young teen-age gins tney naa taken as their “wives" in mock wedding ceremonies. The caves were known as “lovers' walks” for courting couples long before the trogs moved in. The council is considering ways to drive the “trogs" out of the area. The council clerk, Mr J. Owen Hunt, said yesterday: "The council u concerned at young people sleeping in caves, and has decided to make every effort to stop them."
