Rigblights of trackwort in other centres on Thursday, as •applied by “The Pres 6“ special correspondents, were - Wingatui BeEltlon and Farmer« Gal ahowed that they were in top order for their engagements at Rtccarton with attractive trials at Wingatui, where the track was easy. Other runners to Impress were B-ig Smoke, a form runner for the Pourakino Mice at River ton, Flying York, BaerZJe and Red Stole. Beftitton <E. J. Didham) and Flying York (C. B. Clydesawe) ran a solid seven furlongs in 2 min 32 2-seec. the last half-mile in 54 2-ssec and the final three turtongs in 41 2-3eec. Farmer s Gai (J. R. Dowifng) was galloping easily alongside Primrose Lane <B P. Kennedy) ovef half a mile in 52 2-ssec. the last three furlongs in 40sec. Ikupai and Fairweather also performed attractively. Chiave d'Oro (W. D. Skelton) covered five furlongs hi Imin 2 3-ssec, the final three furlongs .in 38 l-ssec. Mukupai (K. A- Aitken) and Fairweather (W. D. Skelton) ; went boldly over five furlongs in Imin 4Jsec. the last half-mile in 51}sec and the final three furlongs in 38 3-ssec. Awapuui Roman Consul locked good in his final trial at Awapuni for the Feeldtng Cup. The three-year-old strode over seven furlongs with a rival candidate, X'arbada in Imin 34 2-ssec, the last three in 40 4-ssec. Roman Consul has thrived lately. Takanini Mr Mink showed all the pace which has made him one of the outstanding two-year-olds of the season when he sprinted with Del Charro on the inside of the No. 1 grass at Takanind on Thursday. of Del Charro (Kempton) over three furlongs in 3« 2-ssec. Thev had begun unevenly from the half-mile, but were travelling at top when they reached the three.
Valiant Rebel (Cotter), a wellregarded opponent for Mr Mink, just led Unpainted (Wyatt) after five furlongs in 61sec, the first two at a brilliant gallop. Awhahnee iHeasCip) gave Ana Rose (Tinsley) a short start and was alongside after running half a mite in 49 3-ssec. Ellerslie
At Ellerslie, 40 feet out on the course proper. Prince d'Amour (Taylor) put an earlv break of three lengths on Stylish Mate (N. Riordan), but had his companion alongside after running five furlongs In Imdn 4 2-ssec. Prince d'Amour came to the finish galloping comfortably. Stylish Mate also finished well.
Broken Down.—The top galloper. Royal Duty, is unlikely to race again. He has broken down badly and his trainer, J. Searle, does not bold much hope for him.—(P.S.S.)
