Auckland Best Group In Export Lamb Contest
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 8. The Meat Board has received from London results of the 1965-66 season’s export lamb competition. Awards were:— North Island Best district group: Auckland 1, Manawatu 2, Southern Hawke's Bay 3. Best individual pens: Manawatu No. 1222 (W. Lynch, Sanson) 1: Auckland No. 19 (W. M. Carter, Waerenga) 2: Southern Hawke’s Bay No. 2 (J. A. Gunson, Dannevirke) 3. South Island Best district group: South Canterbury 1. Mid-Canterbury 2, Nelson 3. Best individual pens: MidCanterbury No. 57 (D. M. Smith, Ashburton) 1; South Canterbury No. 44 (A. G. McFarlane, Waimate)2: Nelson No. 30 (V. H. Moore, Spring Grove) 3. The first three pens in each district are:— Marlborough: No. 84, est. L. H. Clouston 1; No. 83, est. L.
