LAMBS FOR EXPORT
Schedule Price Increased Farmers will be paid another |d per lb for all woolly and shorn lambs killed for export from next Tuesday. This increase in the export schedule was announced on Thursday. Woolly lambs are now Id to 2ld per lb dearer than at the opening of the season. However, except for prime and second-quality light-weight lambs, which are the same, all other woolly lambs are still a |d to lid per lb below rates being paid at this time last year, and shorn lambs are |d to Ifd per lb cheaper. The new rates are:— Woolly Lambs.—Prime: 20 to 281 b, 24jd: 29 to 361 b. 22|d; 37 to 421>b, 201 d; 43 to 501 b, 18}d; 51 to 561 b, 16|d. Second quality: 20 to 281 b, 24|d; 29 to 361 b, 22Jd ;over, 361 b, 20}d. Alpha: over 171 b, 16|d. Shorn Lambs.—Prime: 20 to 281 b, 21 id: 29 to 361 b, 19|d; 37 to 421 b, 171 d; 43 to 501 b, laid; 51 to 561 b, 13id. Second quality: 20 to 281 b, 21|d; 29 to 361 b, 19jd; over 361 b, 17id. Alpha: over 171 b, 13Jd.
