Blair Richardson, of Nova Scotia, won the British Empire middle-weight boxing champion ship on Saturday with a spilt points decision over the former title holder, Gomeo Brennan, of the Bahamas.
The fight was over the unusual distance of 13 rounds—a com promise figure as Brennan wanted a 15-round bout and Richardson asked for a 12 rounder.
