U.K. THREE IN CUP
Semi-Finals Of Soccer (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. Britain will have at least one club in the final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup for the second successive year. West Ham United, which won the trophy last season, yesterday won its quarterfinal match against the German club, Aufbau Magdeburg, and Britain now has three representatives in the semifinals. The other two are Liverpool and Glasgow Celtic. The fourth club will be either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund. West Ham drew its second leg game with Aufbau Magdeburg, 1-1, in Germany, and won on aggregate, 2-1, having beaten its German opponent, 1-0, in London. Results of other matches played yesterday were: INTBR-LEAGUK MATCH English League 1, Scottish League 3. CITIES’ FAIRS CUP Quarter-final. —First leg: Dunfermline (Scotland) 1, Real Zaragoza (Spain) 0. ENGLISH LEAGUE Division Two. —Bolton 1, Preaton 3. Division Four.—Bradford City 0, Halifax 1. SCOTTISH LEAGUE Division One.—Hearts 0, Dundee United 1. IRISH CUP Second Round.—Second replay: Ballymena . United 1, Coleraine 2.
