The Philippines’ Presidential spokesman said today Malaysia had agreed that a Philippines claim to Sabah might be settled by the International Court of Justice, the Associated Press reported. The spokesman said this was among the possibilities agreed to by Malaysia. It is dependent first upon the Philippines recognition of Malaysia.

The spokesman for President Ferdinand Marcos said the Malaysians agreed the Philippines claim to North Borneo could be considered by negotiations, conciliation by third party or judicial settlement, which included the Court at The Hague.
