BRUISED HEEL
De Filou Resting

De Filou has a bruised heel and will not start in the Lamb Memorial Handicap at Pukekohe on Saturday. His trainer, J. Wickllff, said yesterday that he thought the horse had injured the heel during the Champion Hack Handicap at Trentham last Saturday.
Since De Fiilou’s return from Trentham Wickliff has had the injured heel in a poultice. “It’s not too bad,” he says. * He should be working again in a couple of days." A five-year-old, by Le Filou from Lady Bravado, De Filou has won impressively at his last two starts.
The Champion Handicap was his last start in hack company.
He will be prepared for the open races for stayers at Ellerslie at Easter.
