VOSTOK STATION, ANTARCTICA.—Rear Admiral F. E. Bakutis (right) exchanges greetings with Alexandar Artcm’ev, station leader of Russia’s Vostok Station. Admiral Bakutis, Commander of United States Naval Support Forces in Antarctica, flew to the station on January 28 aboard the Hercules aircraft, City of Christchurch, and presented the station leader with a box of cigars.
