There was slow trading in all commodities throughout this week on Smithfield Market, London, and New Zealand lamb suffered a slight seasonal decline with quotations for the main grade (29/361b) a half-penny down on last week, according to the Meat Board’s market information service. There was a slow inquiry for New Zealand mutton, with improved inquiry for ewes. The main grade of hoggets (49/561b) sold at 15d per lb, wethers at 14d per lb and ewes at lljd to 12d per lb.
