Carpet On Runway
A Danish carpet manufacturer demonstrates the versatility of pure wool carpets in a most unusual way, says the International Wool Secretariat. His firm runs a private plane service to take customers to its factory in the textile town of Herning, in Jutland. The manufacturer has laid a 130-yard length of carpet on his runway to demonstrate the quality of the company's products. The carpet was woven from the fleece of Scottish blackface sheep.— London, January 17.
