The home of Sir Winston Churchill, Chartwell, at Westerham, Kent, will be opened tu the public this year. The house, bought by friends of Sir Winston Churchill in 1546, was later presented to the National Trust to be prepared as a national monument to the wartime leader, who died nearly a year ago.
