Flyway Vincent Ist Leg Fancy

“The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Flyway, the winner of two of his last three races, will have a strong following in the White Memorial Handicap, the sevenfurlong hack sprint and the first leg of the Vincent Jockey Club’s T.A.B. double at Omakau tomorrow.

A last start winner at Wyndham, where he beat Neglect and Castle Gregory over a middle distance, the Bellborough four-year-old has top weight of 9-1, but this should not prejudice his prospects. Magic Mirror, next on the list with 8-8, has shown improvement in her latest racing and her third placing at Wingatui was a strong pointer that she was close to the good form she showed last season.

Argyle Boy will have support after his close second to Bellita on the first day of the Southland meeting and his unlucky fifth on the same course on Wednesday.

Mighty Peak has not raced since the Dunedin Cup meeting at the end of last month and he has had time to freshen up after a most encouraging third to Dunsun and Silver Savant. Selections: —
